All this got me thinking about if I’m truly designing a solution to a problem if all I’m doing is replicating the features of a spreadsheet in a web app. Why wouldn’t a user just use a spreadsheet then?
I was already feeling weird about the tables in the new RedPost interface, and this might push me over the edge in ripping them out. After Christmas, I’ll have time to experiment with some new ways to show people their previously uploaded posters that are hopefully better than a boring spreadsheet of images.
